Hello Alvin,

I am also related to the Little family from Reynolds, Ga. My great-great grandmother was Emma Little, fourth child of Howard and Amanda Little and sister of Claudia Little. We attend the Little-Peterman family reunion in Georgia just about every year. I happen to be on the planning committee for the 2012 Little-Peterman family reunion.

Alvin, I would like to connect with you. My family name is Miller and Reeves both grandparents from Reynolds. I was told that the littles are family by my grandfather. Malcolm Little looks very much like my grandfather. Reynolds was a small town and there most of the town is related at some level. I am trying to trace my family tree and Troutman, Miller, Hicks and Reeves are prominent family names of mine. Still have a home in Atlanta. Please email me back I would like to match up information. Look forward to speaking with you.

Hi!!! I’m also in search of the children of Tony and Claire Little. I started this research project almost 6 years ago and have been seeking information regarding the Little Clan. According to several stories that have been told, I am of some relation to Malcolm X but have not been able to connect. After a few searches from the internet I was able to narrow it down that I could either be related as either a Gray or Little, but still was uncertain. During my research, I found that of course Malcolm X father was Rev. Earl Little of Reynolds, Ga. This is the same town that both of my paternal grandparents and my forefathers all originated from. According to my Great-Great Grandfather the Late Mr. J.W. Miller, Sr.; of Reynolds, Ga, he told me of a possible connection to the Malcolm Little Clan. It turns out that his wife who was my Great-Grandmother the Late Mrs. Ella Mae (Durham) Miller was kin the little’s of Reynolds, Ga. In fact just a couple of months ago I was able to verify that my Great-Grandmother Mrs. Ella Mae (Durham) Miller was the eldest daughter of The Late Mrs. Claudia (Little) Batts of Reynolds, Ga.
Mrs. Claudia (Little) Batts of Reynolds, Ga was my Great-Great Grandmother. She was born around 1891 and died on January 14, 1947 over in Ft. Valley, Ga. Some of my Great-Great Grandmother Claudia (Little) Batts children are still living. Most of them or at least three leave in the New York or New Jersey area. In addition to the connection of being a little by blood I was told by one of my cousins that he had attend the Little Convention some years back up north. I think it might have been Detroit, but am not sure. Personally I would love to connect with my little family and learn more about our heritage.

Just for the record I am also descendents of other prominent families or related to other allied families of the Reynolds, Butler, Roberta, Fort Valley, Thomaston, Macon, Warner Robins and etc ; Blood Related: The Clark, Miller, Tookes, Christopher, Durham, Montford, Ogburn, Dugger, Raines, and Terrell. Allied Families by marriage and many descendents of the families listed above include: Hicks, Gouch, McCartha, Talton, Worthy, Humphries, Troutman, Walker, Wooten, Edwards, Bentley and etc.

Hear from you soon.

Hi I understand you are looking for information on Tony and Clarrie Little. So am I. My name is Joyce Little and I am in the process of planning the 10th bi annual Little Family reunion. It is to be held in July 2011 in Washington, DC. Twenty years ago my late uncle Oscar Little started the reunion. He supposely traced our ancestry back to Tony and Clarrie Little and yes I understand that the Malcolm X's father Earl Little was suppose to be my Great Grand father Charles' brother are and they are allegedly the children of Tony and Clarrie along with 23 others Ranson Little, Rev Earl Little, James Little, Gabe Little, Oscar Little, Reginald Little, Florence Little, Polly Rachel Larkin Little, Tempie Little, Phoebe Hazel Clark Little, Harriet Williams Little, Henry Little, Dave Little, Redden Little, John Little, Smithie Little, Susan Little, Marcellus Little, Tony Little, Benny Little, Betty Elizabeth Little, Alex Little, Paul Little, Lee Little and Lawrence Little. Malcolm Little who later became Malcolm X's father was Earl Little and his mother was Louise Little. Drop me a line I hope it helps. Who knows you may want to attend our 2011 Little Family Reunion in DC. God bless happy hunting Joyce
